Daniel provides building sustainability and property surveying services to both businesses and homeowners across York and the Northeast. With over 30 years experience in private practice, social housing and local government, he is a proud member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Building Surveyors, the Green Register and the The York Consortium for Craft & Conservation.
With a passion for traditional construction and ‘building pathology’, he established Surveying & Sustainability Services in 2007 to meet the increasing demand for environmentally responsible development, before moving from Kent to York in 2018.
As a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Green Register and the York Guild of Building, Daniel has a broad network of fellow professionals, equally committed to environmentally-responsible construction.
When not submersed in ‘the built environment’, Daniel enjoys sport, live music (and playing the harmonica), camping and, naturally, exploring God’s Own Country on his Triumph Bonneville.

Daniel was brilliant from start to finish. As a first time buyer I had no idea how anything works but he was extremely helpful and always easy to talk to. The Level 3 survey was really detailed and clearly explained, and he took the time to walk us through everything afterwards (twice), which made a big difference.
